 Jiangyin Huaxi Iron & Steel Co., Ltd is the subsidiary of Jiangsu Huaxi Group. It was established on September 29th 2002 with a registered capital of $34.2 million (75% for Huaxi Group and 25% for Chenghua Group), a total investment of 1.7 billion yuan and a site area of 600,000sqm. The company began construction on Feb.8th, 2003, was officially put into operation in February 2004, passed the certification of the ISO9001 Quality Management System at the end of that year and got the license for iron ore import in 2005. The enterprise is mainly composed of Oxygen Plant, Sintering Plant, Ironworks and Steel Plant. Now it has grown into a Sino-foreign joint venture with an annual output of 1.85 million tons of sinter, 500,000 tons pellets, 1.25 million tons of molten iron, and 1.25 million tons of continuous cast billets. The company adopts flat centralized management model.
Organization & structure: general manager responsibility system; deputy general manager for production management in charge of production, equipment, technology and enterprise management; deputy general manager for sales business.
The company existing staff 3,400 people, in which has above the universities and technical institutes the years of schooling staff 1,300 people, above the intermediate and senior title the engineers and technicians 230 people.

General Manager Yang Yongchang, CPC member and MBA of Tongji University, is now the member of the standing committee and Deputy Secretary of Huaxi Village CPC committee, Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Group. He was once the General Manager of Huaxi metal tube and Huaxi plastic tube. He was successively awarded honors including “Advanced and Outstanding Leader” by Huaxi Village CPC committee of Jiangyin city, and “Advanced Worker” by the municipal People’s Government in 2003 and 2004, the honorary title of “Outstanding Youth Enterpriser in Jiangyin City” by Jiangyin Municipal People’s Government, and “Outstanding Party Affairs Worker in Wuxi during 2003-2005” in 2006 by CPC Wuxi Municipal Party Committee.
Cheng Xianmin, Deputy General Manager and CPC member, is the former instructor of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and the current Deputy Secretary of Huaxi Village CPC committee. He is awarded the honorary titles of “Advance Worker” and “Outstanding Party Member” by the village CPC committee for many times, with rich experience in enterprise project construction and production management.
Leaders of other plants (departments) have middle and senior professional titles.

Main steel billets: carbon steel and low alloy structural steel, high-quality carbon steel (20#-55#), welding rod steel, welding wire steel, riveting snail steel, and deep drawing steel (08Al). The quality of SC1 steel reaches the international advanced level. Specifications of steel billets include 150×150, 165×180,165×225 and 165×280; wire products include non-twisted cooling wire and hot ribbed steel bars for reinforced concrete. Main specifications include Ф5.5—Ф19mm, coil and bar, and main types include carbon steel, low alloy steel, carbon welding rod steel, cold steel, steel for standard parts, spring steel, high carbon steel, 82B and stainless steel. Given the advanced equipment (mainly adopts the advanced technologies including blast furnace oxygen-enriched coal spray technology, molten iron pretreatment desulfurization technology, top-bottom blowing converter technology, steel bundle argon blowing and wire feeding technology, whole-process protecting casting technology; protecting converter lining technology by slag splashing; reserved LF and VD refining furnace positions for steel making; all wires and electric appliances, and equipment for finishing and prefinishing are all imported from the American Morgan, German SMS and German Siemens. And all major equipment adopt PLC and computer network control with a high degree of automation); strong technical force (the company not only has technical personnel from the domestic outstanding steel enterprises like Baosteel Group Corporation, Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation, Anshan Iron and Steel Corporation, Ma’anshan Iron and Steel Corporation, and Sha-steel Group, as well as a group of famous senior experts in the domestic steel circle with a number of patent technologies and first-class working and management levels.); high-quality products (the qualification rates of carbon steel, low alloy structural steel, deep drawing steel, and welding rod steel keep at over 98%, the customer satisfaction rate over 95%, and steel type R&D hit rate 100%). Steel rolled by our products have built up a brand in the East China market and formed a certain market share in the scale with smooth marketing and almost zero inventory.
